This is a partnership project implemented by SWISCONTACT. CRESD is involved as a partner in capacity building to young men and women in order to improve their skills and employability in the agriculture sector. The project is implemented in Morogoro region.
Gairo and Mvomero, Morogoro

Skills for Employment Tanzania (SET)
This project aimed at providing business and entrepreneurship skills to the youth and young mothers in Gairo and Mvomero districts. More that 25 youth and young mothers have already been trained in Gairo. The trainings focused more on business and entrepreneurship skills and gender issues

Improved agricultural service delivery
through enhanced accountability at the
local government authority in Gairo
district.
This project aimed at improving service delivery for the agriculture
services provided by the government and other stakeholders in
Gairo district. To date more that 3,500 farmers have benefited
from the project. The key focus for the project was capacity
enhancement and consistent follow up on social accountability
issues

Skills for Employment Tanzania (SET)
Consultancy on developing a course on
production and marketing of probiotic
yogurt.
The project aimed at developing a module for youth and young
mothers on production and marketing of probiotic yogurt. The
module developed will be used to train youth and young mothers
on yogurt production and marketing.
Lubasazi, Morogoro

Improving farmers’ livelihoods through
Alternative Income Generating Activities
(IGA) in Lubasazi Village
The project aims at improving livelihood of farmers in Lubasazi
village through Village Savings and Loans (VSL) as an alternative
income generating activities. The support involves provision of
skills, materials and consistent follow ups to farmers. The project
targets more than 250 households in Lubasazi village.

Tanzania Forest Fund (TaFF)
Facilitating Improved Beekeeping as
strategy for Income Generation and
Improving Forest Conservation in
Kolero And Lubasazi Villages,
Morogoro District
The project aimed at increasing incomes of more than 120
household members through modern beekeeping practices in
Morogoro region. The project focused on capacity enhancement,
provision of equipment and consistent monitoring for beekeepers
to utilize potentials in modern beekeeping
